Class Teacher - Mrs Troughton
Welcome to the Reception Class!
We currently have 13 children in our class. Mrs Troughton is our Teacher.
We have a well resourced classroom that enables us to have fun learning through play based and practical experiences. We also spend lots of time learning in the Courtyard area just outside our classroom, and in the field and wooded area beyond.
‘The Hive’ area links our classroom with Sapphire Class 1 and we often join together with the children in this class for shared activities.
We also enjoy spending time with our Year 6 buddies each week to play games, read books and sometimes they help us with art and design projects too.

On World Book Day 2019, the Reception children read the book 'A Sailing Boat in the Sky' by Quentin Blake.
They then worked together to make their own boat in the same way the characters in the story did. There were extra seats for eveyone who was saved!
