Job advert: We are looking for a specialist Teaching Assistant to predominantly support a Year 4 pupil (Named Pupil) with an EHCP for social communication difficulties. This role is very rewarding due to the nature of the pupil. We will require a Teaching Assistant from Wednesday 12.00 midday, all day Thursday and Friday (8.30 – 3.15) with 30minutes lunch break. This role would be supported closely by the Headteacher, SENCO, and class teacher.
The role will involve supporting the pupil with accessing learning, working with the pupil individually, within the class and small groups. Part of the role will be to deliver the requirements stipulated in the EHCP including a speech and language program supported by a speech and language therapist and SENCO.
We are a small village school with a strong team ethos and a well established caring, family atmosphere. We would like a good team member and a good rapport with children and a sense of humour are vital. Some experience would be welcomed but not essential. The position has become available due to the current member of staff leaving to follow another career path.

It will end with a months notice, when the child leaves the school in July 2025 or if the EHCP ceases. Closing date (and time): Monday 15th May 2023 at 2pm Interview date: Monday 22nd May Commencement date: Wednesday 7th June 2023.
